Let me just start by saying "THE ORIGINAL DAYHUFF" Coleman & I were really just adopted into this family. So I thought that I would take a min. to let you know who the original Dayhuff really is. Many of you don't know my husband, or you know him but not well. So here is a little brag session about him.
I want everyone to know how lucky I am to be married to Mike. He is an AMAZING dad. Coleman every single morning asks "where daddy go?" I get him and go to
Home Depot. So those of you that know my son, know my Husband. Coleman mirror's everything that he does, he idealizes him. Daddy has taught him the beauty of Home Depot, tools, "workin hard", "fixin the pipes" (these are all things that Coleman has picked up from Mike) along with MANY other wonderful traits. I am so proud of Mike. He has worked so hard to provide for our family. He usually works a 60-70 hour work week and still comes home to work on the next "home project" (Sometimes I even have to rent a movie so that he will just sit down and take a break at night. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have such a TALENTED, SMART, WONDERFUL husband. For instance. This year many of you know that "we" put in our back yard. When I say "we" I mean MIKE.. he spent more hours than I can count, working on raking the "BOULDER" garden (that our lovely builders so generously provided for us when the back filled our lot, THANKS) working sprinklers, putting together Colemans "castle" --swing set, digging out for our walkout, laying sod etc. The list just goes on and on and on. (also some WAY AWESOME FRIENDS AND FAMILY helped us alot along the way, thanks guys!)His other BIG projects include finishing our family room in the basement, putting together our garden box, staining all the ties, fixing the car, making Coleman's room a "pottery barn" room.. really it turned out amazing, I could have NEVER DONE THIS! I will have to post some pictures of all this but I cant find my camera at the moment, so when that shows up I will have those posted.
I always have something new for him to do, such as paint a new wall (or two that have to match up on the corners,) (red & brown) or build me window boxes, put up new molding around the windows, or Walls etc. And you know He always gladly does it.
On top of all of these extra jobs, his MONEY making job, he also throws in there being a wonderful dad to Coleman. He comes home and takes care of him while I am at work, and has the house in order for when I get home.
