Update

Well We thought that we were in the clear! NO NO NO that is never the case.... Today (Friday) we were told by the doctors that my dad was good to go, he had not lost any more blood and everything seemed to be going just fine at this point. The doctor sent him home at 6:30 we were on the road, we were all happy and relieved and we got home and everything seemed as normal. Then.... at about 8:40 this evening it all started again, so my mom and sister took him up to the hospital again, he needs to have another nucluar test, to see if they can find the source of the bleeding. When we had left the hospital they had still not identified EXACTLY what was causing the problem. So we are back at square one again. WHo KNOWS?? So that is where we are at as of now. Not too much to say at this point.

MAN WHAT A WEEK!

Well this week has proven to be a tough week. As some of you know (I am sorry if you are hearing this for the first time.) my dad went into the hospital on Monday morning. Ya it kind of shocked us all. He has been sick for the last two weeks, with what we thought was Salmanila Posioning. (which we know NOW is not the case) On Monday he started to loose alot of blood, so much so that we when the Paramedics came to get him he was not able to get down the stairs, they got a chair that had a track on it and wheeled him down to the waiting ambulance. When they got to the ER they gave him (2) blood trasfusions right away, he had DANGEROUSLY LOW blood pressure as you can imagine. During that whole day (MONDAY) they worked on getting him stabilized in the ICU. The hospital gave him a total of (6) blood transfusions during the course of the day. (He was down to only 2 pints of blood when they got him to the hospital) By the end of Monday things started to look better, we still did not know where the source of the bleeding was coming from. They kept him in the ICU over night to monitor the situation. At 4:00am on Tuesday, the hospital called my mom to tell her that my dad had lost ALL!! of the blood that they given him during the course of that day, so they restablized the situation and then did some tests on him to see if they could find out the source of the bleeding. After two scopes they realized that they were not going to be able to tell anything from it. So Tuesday after noon they transfered him to a diffrent hospital. We waited for Several hours, before they were able to preform the next test..... A Radio Active liquid..... They IV dripped this into his system and then took him for a scan. (The test was suppose to last for a total of 2 hours, which of course it did not, it turned into almost 4 1/2 hours. )The fluid was suppose the go right to the source of the bleeding, and they were suppose to be able to fix it yesterday......but as we all know things dont usually happen the way we think they are going to. SO today.... Wednesday they are going to do another scope to see if they can see anything.. He is still in critical condtion in the ICU... We dont know anything YET.. IT is all very frustrating, mostly because we do not know what to expect, what the procedures are, and what will happen..
So this is just a quick update on what is happening in our life right now. We are doing ok. We are all hangin in there and just "HANGIN OUT" at the hospital all the time. SO I will keep you all updated as much as possible.

HMMM???!!! This is New!

Well I have never really used a blog before, so I hope that I do it right... After having a few of my friends and family lead the way to "blogging" I thought that I would give it a try. I think this will be fun to keep in touchwith my friends and family that I do not see as often as I ought to. So this is what the Dayhuff's are up to. Mike is currently working for a WONDERFUL company that is based out of Nashville TN. Batten & Shaw Inc. The company specializes in the Hospital Construction, and is ranked in the Top 20 Companies in the country for hospital construction . Currently Mike is down working in Orem on the Timpanogos Hospital. They are expanding the hospial vertically 2 stories. (I think that sounds right.) Mike is in charge of the on site quality control, so he has some big resposiblities to take on..... Me well I just quit my job at RE/MAX Results just last week, I am still working up until the 23rd and then Im out. It is just time to take a leap of faith that staying home is the right thing to do. (And it is getting increasingly hard to find sitters, which is ok this is the right thing to do anyway.) I have accepted a new job at a family counsling center, which will give me work 2 days a week for a few hours, which will help with the money struggles. Coleman: Coleman just turned one in June. He is getting so big, and everyday he is connecting new things. It is so fun to watch him grow and learn. Coleman is VERY VERY BUSY! the only time that he sits still is when he is sick, (seriously not even when he is asleep.) SO for us there is not a ton going on with us right now. We are looking forward to a trip to Nashville at the end of September for Mike's Company Picnic. They have promised a lot of fun and relaxation for the wife's as for the men however, they have some mandatory training to attend for part of the trip. This will be a nice trip, Coleman will be staying behind, so it will be weird to be "not responsible" and just be together like the old days. I am excited for the trip however.
